oil line attachement

Need some advice on how secure or safe my oil line attachment are.

I have metal 8mm oil lines comming off the engine, but need to connect these to my 1/2bsp oil cooler. The ends of the 8mm pipe have been swaged just like a brake pipe fitting. Can i just buy some braided oil line, slip it over the pipe and hold them on with a jubilee clip? Or do i need to get it crimped like 'normal' OEM types?

I will then attach to the 1/2bsp oil cooler via one of those alloy elbow connectors from rally design.

Cheers

Sorry about my spelling, im an engineer and only work in numbers.

If they are solid pipes, replace with flexible braided ones instead.
Try thinkautomotive and ask their advice.

Not worth going to your local hydralic/air supplier and getting them to make a bespoke pipe with the correct ends?
