coolant hose location

Hi

i'm fitting the coolant pipes at the moment to a 2.0 pinto Indy. I was considering fitting the pipes that trvel from the front of the engine to the rear above the exhaust manifold as if there is a problem they're easilt accesible.

The expansion tank in fitted to the battery tray/bulkhead, do you think that fitting the pipes above the exhasut would be too high and cause and problems with air locks etc?

thanks
Nigel

Mine runs below the exhaust manifold. i used samco bends and a length of ali pipe with flared ends along here. Secured with brackets and clips etc.

I think copper pipe and solder fixings are another solution others have used.

You really need that pipe to be lower than the bottom of the expansion bottle, so running it under the manifold is the better option. Mine run under the manfold.

many thanks for clarifying this for me. Looks like they're going under the manifold.

Thanks again
Nigel
