Engine started and running after 2 years work

Thanks to everyone who helped last weekend with suggestions as to why my engine wouldn’t run and idle:

I eventually sorted it by draining the two year old fuel, filling with Tesco 99Ron treated with injector cleaner and turning the car over for a couple of minutes each night with the HT lead removed to flow new fuel/cleaner through the injectors (I thought it may dissolve any crystallised fuel and deposits).

See engine running now:

I bought a Colortune and checked all cylinders and found that the engine management is doing sterling work since all flames are pale yellowy orange going on white! This coupled to the new thermostat opening and flowing hot water around the radiator plus removing the cam cover cap to reveal oil spraying around the valve gear has made my year!

MK Indy now running sweet as a nut – time to tackle the rest of the wiring!
