A8 anytime for me, low key mega plushness.

It would be very very difficult not to look a complete b3ll 3nd in the Bentley (IMHO)

Relative of course as I can't afford the Bentley full stop, but could purchase the Audi, park it on my drive and walk to work

I've never quite understood this line of thinking... what's wrong with the Bentley!?

PS - I appreciate you added a 'IMHO' but you were happy to drive a yellow MK!

I know someone who lost £4k in 5 months on an Aixam

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I bought a Z4 with all the trimmings when I was last working abroad. It's UK dealer price would have been £35k, but I didn't have to pay any tax on it as I was exporting it outside the EU for 6 months, and I got a further 15% off the price as I dealt through BMW's diplomatic agency.

I changed 6 months later to an Exige and the best I could get for the 3k miles Z4 was £25k (and that was after phoning around every BMW dealer in the UK!).

Thankfully I didn't lose out financially on that one, but it opened my eyes a bit to the perils of buying a spanking new car.

Did I learn? Did I ...

You'll lose getting on for 10% of the cost of a new car as you drive it off the forecourt!

I'd budget a third for instant depreciation on most brand-new cars Ian.
