Hard luck mate, it happens to the best of us! Most people pass 2nd time so just do the jobs as well as you can and i'm sure everything will be
ok.
My speedo was out on the test so we let some air out....worked a treat!

FAILED AGAIN but it passed the emissions woohoo
it failed on being 1db to loud and the god damn rear brakes are better than the front,,wish id never put the 4 pots on now.
any body know where i can get some sound proofing from to go inside the engine bay as thats where most the noise seems to be coming from.
retest 9th june ,only 2 things to put right this time ,im more relieved that its passed the emissiones than i am pi55ed off about the failure ,next
time 3rd time lucky

Nice one OX.
You should be OK now.
Can you borrow a yellow box to alter the revcounter reading for the test, or some wire wool up the exhaust might do the trick.
See you soon M8

If it is induction noise, are you using the original airbox or a foam filter?
If it is a foam filter, perhaps it might be worth trying a K&N Air Box from Demon Tweeks?
Demon Tweeks Air Box
Although I have no personal experience of them I did see them mentioned on Seventorque:-
Seven Torque Bec List
Unfortunatley I cannot use the original airbox, even upside down, so am now looking around for alternatives.
Hope you get sorted.

Guinness good idea but like you i am also stuck for room my filter is squashed against the bonnet vent allready ,its induction noise and a high
pitched vibration noise from all over the car it seems.
the induction noise is deafening

OX,
Can you nail a couple of bits of ally on the underside of the chassis to cover over as much of the the bottom of the engine bay as possible and then
velcro some carpet or the like on the under side of the bonnet so that ist removable after the test?

whilst it was up on the ramps the sva guy noticed massive gouges in the sump and it looks like the sumps been scraping the floor under heavy
braking.sump guard needed

cheers
i couldnt use 907's exhaust becouse there wasnt room to fit the cat infront of it.its for track days only and it got me through the noise limit
yesterday at oulton(cheers paul)the smaller exhaust i got off paul is for road use hehe
i used some sound proofing mat in the engine bay and got the noise down to 101 which was my main worry
