I was about to say Audi but ChrisG beat me to it! A lot of folk don't realiase that Audi used the londitudinal engine/transaxle layout in the
80/90/100/Coupe/A4 and I imaging A6? Lots 'n lots of 'em in scrappies and well built too!

hmmm, the audi transaxle should (and will probably!) bolt straight onto the 1.8 4-banger turbo lump. Might be a bit pricey though.... But it will be
lighter than the old 5pot turbo!
Have a look at www.donkervoort.nl, they use the audi 1.8T
I just might be tempted to get a "gt2"after the indy's finally finished, since i'm too tall to fit a GT1
