First drive out
First drive in the car yesterday,it ended 15 miles later with the clutch not working,big thankyou to Al (ajs) for sorting the recovery out.
Enjoyed what little time I had in it,now need to sort the clutch.

It was slipping a little from the on set,got worse then completly failed,I had fitted some uprated springs but I hadn't changed the friction
plates,I definately fitted the correct oil,I've got some new friction plates to fit but won't get a chance to have a look for a week or
so.I'm just quessing that the clutch plates were well worn when I got the engine.
I know worse things have happened to folks on their first drive out so I'm not too dissapointed.

still a shame though.
While you have the clutch apart, check the steels for blueing, and swap them out too if needed, it'll save another disapointment.
Its pretty important to get the biting point right, as if its slipping contantly the weight of the car will knacker your plates pretty quick.
