Steering Column
Can anyone tell me what I should use to fill this space? It's the hole in the bulkhead on an MK, that the steering column goes through.

He he, cheers.
Anything more specific?
The Halfords saturday boy got upset when I asked for a pair of nipples (bleed, of course). A plastic bush might tip him over the edge....

Any discount motorists should keep in stock a sierra column bush kit, which new cost all of a few pounds£3 or £4 max if I remember.
This includes both the rubber grommet and the plastic bush.
DEAN............
Once I've finished a project why do I start another?

Lolocost will sell you the bush inner and outer (the bit you already have on the column) for £1.50 I think it is.

Here is what we have done.
It is a self centering bearing with the collet tightened onto the triangular column using a self made nylon bush.
Its alot stronger than the rubbish sierra one!

I'm looking for donorparts, and need some help: do I need a specific type of Sierra column? I understand there are two types (new and old). Or
is it not important? And how about an adjustable steering column?

I used an adjustable one and have seen non adjustable so suspect you can use either.

Ta very much for the replies...
I don't think £1.50 will break the bank.
