new tin top for swmbo

Need a bit of guidance and ideas…

Just started looking for an other car for SWMBO . She wants something a bit sporty but 4 seats and not boring to look at.

It must have less than 10,000 miles on the clock.

It must be Red.

Budget is £10000

She has spotted this and wants to go and look at it…….

Peugeot 407 Coupe 2.2 SE 2006 with 9800 miles

Cost approx £9000

Any things to watch out for or thoughts on it

ooh, peugeot? really?
form any that i've driven have always felt really heavy, underpowered, and been rotten to drive i think. 407 looks heavy

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

If it's gotta be red, it has to be a Ferrari.

Stick an extra nought on your budget and you could get the four seater 612 Scaglietti.

Personally, I'd sacrifice the +2 seats for a Ferrari that's less practical

Evo? Okay, I know. But you didn't say it had to be cheap to run...

Fabia would be good, with economy and tuneability.

Or a Leon FR - a bit more room, but with excellent handling.

Another vote for the Leon here.

Can pick up some real bargains at the minute.

Just bought this for her indoors.
She loves it !
Common as muck but good fun to drive, when she lets me have a go !
Its the supercharged Cooper S, goes like stink.
A bit small in the back seats, but who cares when your in the driving seat.

Bit of a marmite car, but it grows on you
