Zetec SE fuel system
Any chance someone can knock me up a quick diagram!
I assume it's tank>filter>low pressure pump>swirl pot>high pressure filter >high pressure pump>fuel rail>regulator>back
to swirl pot>back to tank??
What pumps are best?? (cheaper the better!)
Rich.

On my Zetec SE, I've used the in-tank pump from a Fiesta. This is then connected to the filter, then directly to the fuel rail which has the
regulator at the coilpack end. The outlet of the fuel rail then goes straight back into the top of the tank.
No extra pumps required so far, no swirl pots or any other expensive gubbins. My tank has got quite a small cross section (it's much taller
than it is wide) so I haven't even had to worry about baffles in the tank although it would be best to put the pump into a recess in the bottom
of the tank if at all possible to prevent any fuel starvation when cornering hard with low fuel levels. You should be able to get one of these pumps
pretty cheaply...
There's some pics on my website.

Swap, high pressure pump comes after swirlpot and before high pressure filter. Otherwise agree.

Owelly has used and recommends a Golf GTi Mk2 pump, it's external, compact, has an integrated swirl tank and is cheap

Thanks, that's great! I'll have a look at the Golf pump\swirl pot.
