no it doesn't
looks a good simple car in reasonable condition. Can't believe their going on about a broken horn though, who cares about that? at least you
shouldn't have much bother with the engine or that standard carb

Looks pretty tidy, it's quite expensive for a pinto IMO. They have been going for less than that, but I guess that one is quite a tidy build.
And if you like the interior and colour scheme then it is as good as any.
Check it is on the v5 as an mk nothing else.
Is it jsutme or are the front wheels quite a bit further in at the bottom than the top?

It is correctly registered as an MKINDY
Looks tidy, shame its not a bit nearer or I would have come with you, there is a locosters map on here somewhere maybe ask someone a bit nearer if
they'd accompany you??
Cheers

im still in two minds as im north of london! 4.5 hour train journey to see it, hmm,
does anyone know of anything nearer to sg13, in a perfect world it would be a 2.0 black locost with aero screen and braced roll bar! but hey, it aint
going to happen is it, my budget is 4.5k max, more like 4k

Looks tidy enough. How come virtually every Pinto is sold as a 2.1 these days? I know that there are plenty of genuine 2.1's about but it would
be pretty difficult to tell without stripping it down and it does seem a little strange to have a 2.1 then strangle it with the standard carb.

Might be a good deal the worry is he's a mechanic and has not fixed the horn! Surely that's a simple fix!

Looks OK to me. As saidmaybe a bit of movement on price would be good, but stick a decent set of wheels on and it would look really nice
IMHO

ok im really thinking about going to see this, but basicaly im so far away id be going witht he intention of driving it away,
couple of questions, im 6' now i have been in kit cars before and fitted, he says the seat is as far back as it will go, so can someone 6'
confirm ill fit/ be able to drive it! ( i realise its not the best way to test!!!)
also, whats the mpg on these things and how far will a fuel tank go?? its a 184 mile trip home, rain or shine, whats driving in the rain like?? is it
a problem with a helmet?
sorry for the many q's

Ok, 1st off you should fit in ok at 6'.
MPG, ain't got a clue we build em for fun not good gas mileage. The only kits I have ever bothered to work out mpg on are race cars and that
was only to save carrying excess fuel.
Driving in rain, fine whilst your on the move, like sat in a bath tub whilst your stood.

I'm 6'4" and just about fit in. I have to use think trainer/street shoes to give me narrowish soles.
A horn should be fixable for 20 quid (either duff horn/relay or wiring). Quick go with a multimeter should narrow it down very quickly.
Don't expect much on milage. I've used about a gallon just letting the car idle whilst setting up the dizzy and balancing the carbs

You should fit fine at 6'.
My Indy has far more leg room than my old westy (pre-lits are tiny when you're 6'2" and weigh 16st lol)
You couldn't pwn your way out of a wet paper bag, with "PWN ME!!" written on it, from the "pwned take-away" which originally contained one
portion of chicken tikka pwnsala and the obligatory free pwnpadom.
