Pretty much! Panels are nearly always made oversize and have to be manipulated to fit.

Worth spending time over as bad panel fit can ruin how a car looks lol

I think nothing fits on everybody's from what I have gathered. This is one thing that can fairly easily be remedied though so don't start sweating it this early in the game.

THe Indy body work fits fine with a little fettling.

Order of assembly...

1. Side panels - need to notch out around the scuttle hoop and trim square where they will meet the rear panel

2. Scuttle - line up the rear edge with where the side panels start to narrow and need to notch out around the scuttle hoop

3. Bonnet - need to cut out for exhaust and air filters as required

4. Nose cone - may need trimming depending on radiator fitment

5. Rear panel - this is too wide and will take some gentle persuassion to fit well, it will also need the front edges trimming square to meet the side panels properly.

5a. The rear panel to side panel profile change (round to square) is always an issue and there are 101 ways to resolve it - most opt for covering the join oin someway.

6. Rear arches - they're handed and need to be centralised arounf the hub/wheel and aligned with the lower edge of the side panels - bolt them on for easy future removal!

7. Wing stays and fornt arches - this is an ARSE of a job to bend the stays to the right shape and the same shape on both sides. Use small blocks of wood between the (well inflated) tyre and the stay to belp for the shape and make sure you can get your chosen wheel/tyre size on and off once the arches are fitted!

Check out Hellfire's build diary for a really well documented body fitting.
