Protech shocks.
My Protech shocks only came with one preload adjusting ring? How do lock it in place after adjustment? All the bike shocks ive seen have a second
locking ring!

I'm not sure if you need a second one- seeing as it's sprung. But I maybe wrong.
It won't take long to tap a small hole in the ring and fit a small grub screw. I think Martin said other's had done this.

My bike rear shock only has one ring. I don't like the idea of a grub screw damaging the threads. It might knacker up future adjustment.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Grub Screws.........
My AVO shocks have got grub screws to lock them but , I too did not like the idea of grinding them into the threads, and I dont think my adjustments
have moved..........

grub screws
if you are going to use grug screws to lock the threaded collar to the threads
put a small piece of nylon or plastic down the grub screw hole first
that way the grub screw pushes the plastic into the threads without damaging them
