Mk Reverse

Managed to get my MK reverse/starter motor fitted today very fiddly and needed a lot of adjustments as didn't fit MK'S welded brackets. Had to spacer it out also with washers. as the two teeth hit.

I also noticed the sprocket between the prop and diff sticks out either side of the tunnel by about 4mm Is this right I really don't fancy that spinning beside my behind! Then again it will fall off after IVA.

And can anyone tell me how I wire theses starters up to engage on switch?

How have you mounted it if you didn't use the brackets??

Sprocket is supposed to stick out, they're all like that, just space the panels off a bit.

Linky to wiring advice

Havent had chance to look underneath my car yet but does anyone know if the welded brackets are fitted as standard to the chassis. Mine has no reverse and already found it a pain!!
