What Eaxctly is shorten on the rack ?

Do they shorten the main rack tube and the Rack (the rack meaning the rack from the rack and Pinoin) ? and then Lenghten the tie rods ?

yep, i believe so, supposed to be easier on Sierra racks due to the materials / design used in original construction.
