MK Indy R Radiator Brackets
Hi all
As above, how much flex should be in the brackets? Mk have supplied me with two bent aluminium brackets that I have fixed to the chassis. Fitted the
radiator and fan to brackets and with the weight it does seem to flex from side to side a lot.
is this normal or should I brace the brackets?
Thanks on advance.
Pete.

If your worried about the integrity of the brackets, then yes re-inforce them will some cross bracing etc.

they do flex a lot, but when you get the nosecone on, pad the tops and its okay. watch out though, cause mine split at the inside corner of the
'L' Ill try getting a pick up soon...

Any piece of aluminium that flexes WILL break at some point in the future.
Radiators need to be rubber mounted but the brackets holding the rubber should be rigid (and strong - rads full of water are heavy)
