Cigarette lighter socket wiring

I'm wiring up a cigarette lighter socket and would like to know - is the centre contact neg or pos - and the same question for the side contacts. Thanks.

Centre = Pos, Outer = Earth

Thanks all - I was just wiring up my PV solar panel and controler - no big draw, just 3 amps. I am aiming for 12v led lighting whilst camping this year, plus a bit of cooler box cooling too - plus my cigarette socket has a USB port for charging my mobile.
