Temperamental r1

Fitted an airbox and started it up, went straight to 4k rpm and stayed there. Pulled it off and it drops back. Now I know it'll change the a/f but is that normal? What's weird is that it fluctuated a few times too. Revving up and down on it's own. WTF??
