Master Cylinder on an MK

I have the master cyliner ready to put in but it doesn't fit through the hole in the chassis. Is this because:

- The cylinder i have isn't the right kind (off a 2.0i DOHC)

-I merely need to grind the hole a little larger

Just wanted to ask before destroying stuff Thanks for any help

i presume being dohc it had abs,if so its wrong cylinder

Yes it is ABS so i guess it must be the wrong one then *adds more to shopping list*

Have just modded my pedal box an couldn't get my M/C to fit. I started with this one...



but it wouldn't mate up. I then got this one...



and it went on fine. Now looks like this...



Not going into an MK, but may help identify something you're looking for.
