Thats exactly what I did with my wife last year on our way to Switzerland!!
We stayed at a Hotel local to the ring called Hotel Kastenholz. Its a 4 star, quite cheap but very nice.
Room and view was amazing. Far enough from the ring to not hear or be involved but we still had interesting bikes and cars at the hotel. Great for
couples with a hidden petrolhead agenda!!
It has a deer park out the back and restaurant with a great view. Food was good as was the beer. Friendly and nice.
Strongly recommended.
If you have not been to SPA or the ring before then ill give you some heads up and advice. The ring is not easy to find and Spa is not worth the trip
unless the track is open as you see naf all, town is well worth a trip though. U2U if you want more info.
Good luck,

Yeah visiting SPA is kind of like going to Silverstone when there is nothing on! Take a photo of the sign and then just get going again!!!
While I think of it check whats on at the ring to. The car park is the place to go and walk around. I always have trouble keeping my jaw off the floor
when walking around.
I CANT WAIT TO GO AGAIN THIS YEAR!!

When I went with a group of biker friends we stayed at Sliders guesthouse http://www.slidersguesthouse.com
The website hasn't been updated for ages but their youtube channel has so I presume they are still open. Its run by a british guy and they are
really friendly

And did the Ringvilla with some mates one year. Very nice and great guy who runs the place. This would be my preference
