exhaust mounting
just picked up my exhaust from MK today (big thanks to the chaps there for helping me out so quick!). just wondering what ppl have used to mount the
silencer?
does it need a flexi mounting of some sort or just a bit of tube to space it from the chassis and bolt through??
or am i totally pi$$ing in the wind? lol.
cheers

rubber bobbins, only pence each and do a good job, kind of semi flexible mountings then.

you need a flexi mounting (mini exhaust mounting bobbin) some people bolt it through the fibreglass but if you can get hold of a copy of the MK INDY
build from which kit magazine it shows a bracket the guy made. It would be so simple to incorperate this bracket during fabrication
will try and get a pic or can some-one else post it

I used a big rubber bobbing like the mini ones,i think it was originally intended for an old triumph as an engine mount.
Cost about £2 at a kit show,i'll try and find a pic.
