Track Days in the south of England

Hi All, I'm toying with the idea of building a seven style kit and was looking into which tracks are available for track days. My first choose would be Brands Hatch as it the closest but I notice that it status the following: ** Please note – we do not accept open wheel based Cars on any of our track day events**. When signing up. Does this include seven style cars? If so what other track are available and close to south London?

Thanks
Flint

Seven style cars are fine as all wheels are covered by cycle wings /rear arches . Open wheeled refers to car whose wheels are uncovered ie formula ford style.

Welcome to the forum. Open wheel cars are basically cars without cycle wings covering the tyres. Seven style cars are fine for trackdays.

May i suggest that if your mainly wanting track days and driving then buying second hand is better than building.

Its cheaper, quicker, easier and if you want to fiddle with it then rebuild what you Dont like to make it your own.

Its been discussed on here recently. Use the search.

I brought and not built and had a track day and a trip to the ring under my belt with in 2 months of signing the V5. It will take twice as long to get an Iva booking complete from the dvla!!!

Welcome to the best kit car site on the net!

Track days ARE the best thing since sliced bread, until I get a supercharger that is!

As above, seven style cars are fine on normal trackdays. If you want to do as Bizzle as said, and in the market for buying a 61 plate 1.8 new zetec, send me a u2u

Brands is a great track, so's Silverstone. There are some airfield venues but i dont rate them as high as the other places.
