Racetech weld on boss to sierra column

I have a non adjustAble sierra column and I am looking for a weld on boss, I really want the racetech one which has many splines.
The problem is when you weld it to the centre shaft it would be very close to the bearing and may damage it .

On a standard sierra wheel it pulls the centre shaft up and tight when u tighten the nut.

The one I had on my last car was the one from rally design the 6 sided one which we pressed down under pressure and the welded the top of it

Thanks nick

The one I had made was a weld on octagon they replaced the plastic bush with a metal one and clamped the spring up as far a possible to extend the column away from the bearing. Worked ok. They did it in small welds also to reduce the risk of a problem.

The lifeline one did not knock due to size differences so that one didn't work.

Hardest bit was getting the boss perfectly straight. This took some time.
