Braking
Hi all I have my concerns over using a servo assisted master cylinder (sierra).
Has anyone found the brakes a bit wooden if so what have u used eg Mk 2 escort non sevo etc

my brakes were a bit like that,a smaller dia cyl would do it,i made my brake pedal twice the length,works better now
who cares who wins

I have never been keen on any Indy brake pedal that I have driven so I drilled my rod mounting point as close as possible to the pivot, I did use a
Caterham cylinder as well and the pedal is not hard but a good progressive feeling all the distance of its travel.
This increases the ratio of pedal movement to the actual distance the rod moves.This decreases the pressure needed but increases the distance needed
for the same effort,much easier to drive safer.
Hope this makes sense,and I'm sure the same method would make a difference to the standard sierra pedal.
Once I've finished a project why do I start another?

I have to say my brakes are excellent, and I use the standard Sierra master cylinder (refurbished) - and I'm running drums at the back too, and
just bog standard Ferodo pads on the front. Pedal feels fine and she stops on a sixpence.
