As you may or may not know we have finished two last year. Built both in about nine months. Both blades. One in yellow the other the bluey/purple
colour.

Any performance figures? HP?
I'm thinking of doing the same!
Or a pinto engine, because my pal can rebuild them !
How much HP/weight can come out of a moderatley tuned pinto, and how much out of a moderately tuned bike engine?
Cheers!
Two cars? his and hers?

Nice car!
That is such a nice car you have done there. A few questions;
How is the std exhaust manifold? Is the car still fast and what bit did you have made for the rest of the system?
How did you do the acne on the pedals?
Cheers

Gilesey,
I've not got any figures yet, but I'm in the process of fitting some instrumentation for 0 - 60 times and speed logging so that I can do some real
road tuning to test mods.
I believe that the std 2.0i pinto was about 115 bhp in good state as standard. I've fitted a Kent FR34 cam which allegedly gives about another 16.
I've modified the EFI to fit under the bonnet - loose a bit bottom end, poss gain a bit higher up. I believe this should put it similar to a 'Blade
but a tad heavier.
Donut,
Cheers, I used the standard exhaust manifold. I fabricated the exhaust from manifold outlet to a Lolocost silencer(?) using cut and welded pipe bends.
There’s probably some more umph to be had from a cleaner flow system but I wanted sometime that I could make cheaply to get on the road then start to
tweak.
The car feels sprightly off the mark and will cruise at an uncomfortable-bob-hat-removing-speed on the motorway!
Acme on the pedals was done using Mig welder to make spots, a steadier hand should be able to get more even spread.
Cheers,
Colin
