Regular oil changes and only use bike oil, car engine oil will induce clutch slip, apart from that there pretty sound.

Don't rev the balls off it till its warm.

Use the clutch on down changes.

keep an eye on the oil level too, but mine uses zero between changes.

Enjoy.

Oil check is right - just rest it on top.

As for the clutch, my Barnett version is like a switch, so yours is probably fine. Calls for ballet like footwork!

Racing boots - If you haven't already got some, get yourself a pair...

Get some trackdays done to find out where the limits are. Don't try and find out on the road Take it steady in the wet.

Have FUN

Clutch should be fine once you get used to it, driving boots are a must IMHO!

Take it easy on the road and has already been said take it very easy in the wet, do everything steady.

Have fun.
Rich.

Only 1 tip from me with the blackbird engine.

GET A DRY SUMP KIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

or you will learn the hard way like I did!

Hope this hasnt upset you too much. Enjoy the car, it should be fairly rapid and the blackbird is generally a good engine.

i bought a blade powered indy, and was seriously contemplating an expensive reverse box, done nearly 1500 miles now in six weeks and haven't found it to be a prob, apart from running over my feet a couple of times. it still bloody hurts for such a light car!!!!!!!!
