X-flow into an indy

will a xflow go straight into an indy as I have a good one going spare, equally what is involved in making a fiat twincam fit (I have access to one from a Strada Arbarth),

Cheers

Xflow should go in fine since it's smaller than a pinto, I would suspect you can get suitable engine mounts from MK, I expect someone else can confirm (PTM?). Fiat twin cam sounds interesting, but it will probably be a lot more work, since there's gonna be far far fewer people (if any at all) to ask for help from. I think the recomendation of a lot of people would be, build it with the xflow, get it on the road, and then if you're not happy with the xflow, then think about putting the Fiat in.

XFlow with twin webers fits no probs (altho mine is Stuart Taylor chassis). Loads of space.

as long as it fits, anything will go, all you need to do is fabricate engine mounts, simple as that............if you have a cheap/free fiat drop it in......

nice motor.............

Am I not right in thinking taht the mounts for a xflow are the same as a pinto? (like the good old days when we would just drop a pinto into an escort) and that trouble arises with gearboxes/props etc. If this is the case I am asking that somebody confirm for me that given an indy is designed around 5 speed gearsboxes and associated running gear, that a Xflow should bolt straight on?

And does anybody know the weights of both x-flows and pintos?

Thanks so far.
