which is better zx9 or fireblade engine

Which is the better engine to use in a mk indy??
Do you need to drysump them or not??
Please let me know for a friend who is in doubt as to which of these engines to use.

You wanna be asking this in the BEC section!!!

No you don't need a dry sump, and as for which one, it makes no odds, Indy's are being built with both. It's more about what engine comes up for sale at the time.

Blades are more proven, ZX9's SLIGHTLY more powerful, ZX9 can be cheaper but not always, ZX9's are lower geared so you have to be more careful what diff/wheels you use, plenty of off the sheft parts for both.

IMO won't go far wrong with either, not to up on zx but not heard any horror storys, blade, well ive abused one for 4.5k miles with no probs, no dry sump, no respect......n the bugger just sits there ticking over begging for more.......
