MK Expansion Tank

Hi Guys,

I know the expansion tank most commonly used is of a Rover, just cant remeber which model!!

Its the larger type not the flat type like on the 214

I've got some of that, I think it's the Halfords premium brand.

On the 89-96 shape cars the tanks were on the M and T series engine 2 litre cars,not K series.
Not positive about the later shape cars.
Used one on my Indy too.

Is this a pressurised tank?

I am planning in advnce in case my radiator filler will sit below the thermostat.

and is there only one hoe going to this tank?

there is a pressure cap on it and there are two hoses going to the tank,

the bottom hose is the outlet and the side hose is a overflow/ return i think!
