Doors/sidescreens
Doors/sidecreen material ?
One of my projects this year among the many is doors/sidescreens,i've found some nice strips of steel for the framework and i'll probably
use hooding material for the main of the door.
I'm having trouble finding windows or material for,i'm after the flexible material as used on rear windows.
Woolies sell stuff i could use but its at a price and as usual i'm trying to keep that in locost fashion,so any ideas out there ?

Have you tried boat chandlers or the people who make the hoods for boats?

After owning a couple of boats in the late 80's early 90's i would hazard a guess that boat chandlers would be more expensive than
woolies,i'll keep it in mind though as i ave a big choice in my area.

How about thin polycarbonate? More durable and as clear as glass. I got a half sheet (4'x4'of 4mm for £30 so thin stuff might be even
less.

I usually see clear poly... wrapped around the drive shafts/diif's of vans and trucks... how cheap do you want it?

Looks like there are a few sellers on ebay selling polycarbonate/lexan at a reasonable price,i think it will score with a scribe and snap to size
which is handy.
I will keep looking for some flexible stuff though

I bought some of the clear stuff as used in car hoods from a camping shop - same material is used for windows in tents.

I have the remains of a roll of the stuff from when I made my own soft top. How much do you need?
I made solid doors for my car with "bulges" for my elbows.
have a look in my photos.
