Bending aliminium trim
Might be a daft question, but how have people bent the aliminium trim that goes over the curved bit of the Indy side panels.
As it is L shaped presumably notches need to be cut out of the vertical bit to allow it to bend.
Thanks
Stu

You don't need to cut notches out of it to get it to bend,it bends ok without,I bent mine round a 17" tyre, this just shaped it to just about
the correct radius.
just to add,you will need to cut a small notch out at the base of the bend, were it bends back on its self,if you no what I mean, you can see this in
the picture.

don't bend the internal corner, mitre it.
no offence meant paul, just offering a different way. just cleans the lines up a bit.
it's a bit of a see you next tuesday to get right, but well worth it in the end.
i used a small oil barrel we use as a bin, to form the curve, but any large radius round former will do. just make sure it's smaller than the
arch curve, as it's a bugger for springback.

I was worried bending mine when it came to it but in the end you just have to trust that wacking it with a big hammer or mallet will do the job &
didnt harm mine when I did it.
