what problems will I face using a DOHC doner?
I'm struggling to find a suitable pinto engined 2.0 sierra but there seems to be plenty of DOHC models around. What problems would I face
getting the DOHC into the MK Indy chassis?
Is there also an issue with the gearbox?
Any other issues?
Thanks

I've been looking at Sierra's and so the DOHC's that I'm seeing must be the 8V type, I think the engine's known as the
i4.
I've not looked at Mondeos 'cos I'm under the impression that I need all the Sierra bits and pieces to make the fit as painless as
possible.
I'm quite focused on eliminating as much pain from the build as practical.

the best thing to do would be to get a
cheap sierra with a pinto engine
i paid £75 with m.o.t strip the bits
that you need and then get your hands on
a zetec you can pick these up cheap
and a far better engine than the 8v dohc
the 8v dohc engine has some problems
ford didn't make it for that long i have
repaird some in the past head gasket
problems not a very easy to rebuild
then theres chopping the injection over
ecu etc and they don't push out much more bhp than a pinto
when they are running thay do go well
also they are not that easy to tune more power from most peeps steer well clear
zetec on the other hand you can get loads
of stuff for
