Indy hub carrier/rear brake setup
Can anyone help me out? I am trying to figure out if I have the right bits to have disc braking on my Indy.
I ordered the kit specified for dic braking, and it came with the rear hub carriers as shown in the picture. I have a normal diff and push in drive
shafts. Am I correct in assuming that I need either Sierra or Grananda/Scorpio rear calipers, but nothing else (e.g. special adaptorplates)? And that
it will all fit together?

That's the ones.
What you need are sierra disc hub carriers. They're the same as the drum brake items, but the have a lug to fit the caliper to.
I assume you have most of your donor parts already? If not, ask MK - I got my donor pack for £250 from them, no hassle with donor cars or scrap yards
etc.

So the ones I have are for drum brakes?
That's strange because the dutch MK importer also gave me some discs for rear brakes plus the diff and drive shafts. He told me to find some
rear calipers and it would all come together.
But you're right, I wouldn't know where to fit the calipers to om my hub carriers.

No. The uprights you have from MK are for disc brakes. What StevieB means, is that as well as the diff and drive shafts, you'll also need the
Sierra hubs. Hope that makes sense.

Just so happens I had all the bits sitting together ready for cleaning up.
You can clearly see the lugs on the hub with the caliper carrier beneath it.

Thanks guys, that makes it a lot clearer.
I have the hubs from a drum brake Sierra, so without the lugs to fit the caliper.
So what should I do to fit disc brakes? Can I use hubs from a disc braked Sierra together with the drive shaft and drive flange that I already have?
