transit van rear diff and axle??
transit van rear diff and axle?? could this be used for the rear drive, simple and like the book or would it be too wide.
i know the RS2000 used a shortend verison of the one that was in production when it came out

5 stud wheels and agricultural weight might be a couple of drawbacks.

Tranny axles are v heavy and as said 5 stud. I would stick with the cortina/escort/capri.

some very good diff ratios from early transit axles though! Can't remember which ford car axles they fit though, think it is the atlas but not
sure.
think the 5.1:1 is a transit ratio, much used on forest rally cars.

The RS2000 I think used a shortend version the the Atlas used in the big capris of the time, not sure if it is the same casing as used in the transit
or not?
If it is the Atlas there are just about any ratios you could ever want for still available.
It was the axle of choice for rally applications, although may (as stated) be overly heavy for a lightweight 7.
