Mk Indy winter mods

Well its just about spring now and the winter mod program is almost done...

what have I done? Well mostly rear end..

Quafe LSD
More trangulation at the front and rear of the chassis
Re-engineer rear uprights/ disks/ calipers to accept 13x8" CXR wheels with 245x45x13 ACB10's ( from a Caterham R500!)
Lowered upper rear wishbone mounts by 35mm to raise rear roll Ctr.

Oh and spent a 2 days with a bit of glass some grinding paste and the sump getting it flat

a few more things as well.

No testing done yet, but should get it on the road next week.

You think - stick on some wide wheels - no problem!!

shit load of work involved to get everything to fit including turning down the hubs. The shafts are still the same size though. Sometimes thought it would be easier just buying a Westfield... but where would be the fun in that

What do you plan to use the car for?

I'd be tempted to beef-up the roll protection and go racing.....

Gave the car a good seeing to at Forrestburn at the weekend, and is going well.
Much more noise from that filter.

As you can see- not a hillclimb (no Nomex!)

Thanks to John and Seabass for all their hard work.
Should be going up to knockhill this weekend to the hot marques so should get a better chance to set it up. Rescued attachment _MG_8241.JPG
