Im thinking of building one for my next project and probably go bec turbo again,what are peoples wiews on the car??
I thought that the air intake above the engine would be great for an intercooler, also there seems to be alot more room in the engine bay, cooling
should be alot better than a 7 also.

swmbo's dad is almost finished building his, powered by a blackbird engine. There's quite a lot to do in terms of coming up with little
bits and pieces to make stuff fit, and the body comes in three pretty large bits.
His build site is here
Paul is helpful and approachable and is normally at the shows. He usually does passenger rides at the total kitcar live events as well.

Nothing too drastic AFAICR - you could drop Ron an email, there's a link on his build site....
The bodywork needs quite a lot of fettling to get the shut lines nice, but apart from this it's not too bad to fit. Once it's done it
comes off easily enough.

The GT-R is a fairly easy car to build. With plenty of room in the engine bay for most engine types a turbo shouldnt be to much of a problem. You may
need to lay the intercooler flat as you will need most of the air coming through the air intake for the engine and to provide some air cooling for the
engine bay as it gets F*** hot. If you need any more advice just let me know.

wheezy, how did you get on with the clutch, I will be using a fluid clutch,can yo buy a suitable pipe to go to the rear or is it a bespoke item??
I assume that water temp is kept down due to the run of pipes??
I may consider using a charge cooler with a small rad for it up front to aid engine bay temp.

The Hydraulic clutch is great. The first slave cylinder I used was to small giving to much movement. Switching to a larger one was spot on. The
pipework runs down the outside of the chassis and back into the engine bay.
It is quite low at the front so the rad is canted backwards which doesnt leave much room for an intercooler and maintain airflow. Cooling has been an
issue even at speed as the inlet at the front is still fairly small. I have just added water wetter and a manual fan switch to cope with traffic on
hot days. Even so it hasnt boiled over yet
