Hi
All you can really check for is visual external damage and that it turns over smoothly.
Make sure all the bits needed to run it are present and correct, and that the engine number is unmolested.

Good luck
Al.

Ask lots of questions and make sure it comes with all the sensors needed to get it running. The air intake temp sensor and ram pipes are actually fitted into the frame and can be easily overlooked. Make sure you get these. Also, try and get the fuel pump and fuel sender unit which are located in the fuel tank, together with the sealing gaskets. Also, if you can, try and get the clocks. This will hopefully verify the mileage.

Like Al says, check the engine number hasn't been tampered with and look for any external damage.

Nice choice of engine BTW. Good luck!

Phil

What year engine is it? We may have a suitable wiring diagram, in case you don't already have one.

Wouldn't worry too much about that, it's one of the tidiest cars iv'e ever seen, copying wouldn't be a bad thing Good to hear you got the engine ok btw.
