MK Indy 1.8 Turbo got it running today.

Yippie. Got it outside today and it fired up first turn of the key. Then it poured with rain so I put it back in the garage and took a bit of a video of the engine and a video of it running.
Exhaust is Temporary one.
Engine video

The ecu is callibrated to 160ps that is with the standard modulator on the waste gate, I reckon more is available by fitting a bleed off device instead in the little pipe to the waste gate. Something for later.

Was it tricky to do that side of things ?

I have a ECU without antitheft stuff in it so it was a doddle really, just made an adapter loom to give supplys to all the things like coils and injectors, ISCV ect. Then to the smaller of the ecu plugs connected Batt+ ign. and earth.

Yes British Trident is a Rover fan he has been helpful to me in the past,
Steve,

Neil.
Its close now, Ihave got the exhaust and dash to do. I think I actually picked the best time of year to do a engine swap with weather being crap. How is your car now?
And the blast Will happen. Even if we have to do it in wet suits.

Car is back on the road - Still terrifying - A bit of water may help with the discolouration on the drivers seat...
