Not a happy Bunny :(
Went across to MK today to drop off some stuff to get modified so we can get cracking. First off was told the UJ linkage was the wrong wrong! our
car had powered steering. Then the prop was the wrong one  it came off a 2.0 1991 Ghia but for some reason it was wrong. Any idea where i can get
the parts from..... the correct ones. I just want to get everything together so i can make a start.
any help would be much appreciated.

MNr can supply you with a brand new bespoke prop shaft rather than modifying an ancient donor one

Dunning Fairbank in leeds will make you a prop for not much more than mk charge, much safer imho as there properly balanced

any manafacturer should tell you what exactly you need when you purchase your kit
why wont your prop fit?

prop will be a rubber ring one rather than uj one. Just get a new one, they need balancing IMHO.

I'd agree, you'd be doing yourself a disservice not getting a proper balanced one made. They're only £100-120 new.

I've emailed MNR about the prop.... any idea what their prices are, their web site doesn't say. My MK is having an R1 in it...BEC.
Any ideas on the UJ link, i've phoned a few motor suppliers and they say i need to find a breakers or try ford. Any one know where i might get
one.

PS... Met a lovely chap at MK today, didn't catch his name. He drove a yellow MK and was and old chap.... VEry nice and helpful, learnt alot
from him, just wanted to say thanks.

If I were you I'd go for a TRT propshaft from either of the companies mentioned (Dunning & Fairbank or Bailey Morris)

so does that mean my prop shaft is wrong UJ at diff end. UJ in middle. rubber at gearbox end thanks alan

I'm planning to replace my R1 indy prop with a brand new one (going for all new reg).....
where is the best place to get one from and anyone one want the old one (its already modded by MK and been driven)?

Got mine modded at BAILEY MORRIS PROPS. Had the TRT fitted, ballanced and painted and had them check over
the prop to check all the joints. All done and returned to me in 5 working days! 
Def worth getting a new one just for the piece of mind.

Wilson Drive shafts made mine and did a great job!
they are based in Blenheim ind est. Bulwell Nottingham, so fairly close to you!

Yes shorts and racing boots, 6 months ahead of the latest fashion trend
BTW we got our propshaft from Wilsons in nottingham. 2 day turn round and an excellent job done too

Apart from one of my weights coming off at Elvington and shaking itself loose at the engine end!

It Gets even Worse!
Just went to fit the diff.... and yes i have a 7.5" one..... just great! tried ringing MK but got no answer, from reading on here i'm
pretty stuffed. Basically it means my donor car was a total waste of time and money, I thought these things were straight forward to build and
enjoyable.... none of this has been the case so far

I had that exact same problem, totally forgot to check the diff until i'd come to fit it. I used it as an excuse to buy an lsd instead, and then
managed to get almost as much money for the 7.5" diff as I paid for the lsd, so at the end of the day it was all froody

my mates got a 7.5 diff in his indy, we re-fabricated the brackets that you bolt the diff to, from memory you only need to cut and weld one side as
the body is just bigger one way or tother.
So dont go looking for one, get cutting and welding, job done.

IHi all, i got mine from MK, took six weeks to arrive, dont now if its balanced or not! Do they not balance after modifying as a matter of course??
