I'm now an MK owner

Went over to collect my chassis at the weekend. I was a bit nervous having not seen the kind of purple I would be getting but everything went smoothly. Only bad thing was a lower arm moved and fell on the scuttle wearing through the bubble wrap and scuffing the finish. Luckily it will be covered by the aero screen (phew).

Will get some pics up soon (even though you all know what the chassis looks like) Not had any time to start it yet as I was taking the lady out and saturday afternoon and then renault world series yesterday.

Big job of painting it this weekend and playing with my shiney new hispec brakes.

Thursday 12th Sept

Had a bit of a play in the garage this evening.

Stopped off at Halfords on the way home for some carb cleaner. Also got some Aubergine Hammerite. Seems a good colour match.

Got bored whilst waiting for tea.

Marked out my floor. Decided not to struggle turning the chassis over on my own so just marked out the rails for the time being

Gave the hub carriers a lick of the paint and the lower column.

These will be attached to them

Then I deburred and cleaned up the lower arms whist waiting for the hubs to need a second coat.

She stayed at her parents last night.

She isn't a widow. We're have a threesome this weekend. Me, her, chassis and a day of painting!
