lifting eyes on ecotec?
does the ecotec have lifing eyes? i can't see any on the engine! does vauxhall sell them? i'm a bit wary of the way i'm lifting just
now, with a nylon strap underneath. its not very well balanced...

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Lifting my C20LET in and out (several times) we just used the bolts in the head - with some chain and strong bolts.
If you use 4 bolts and pieces of chain its much easier
I done this 4 times twice out twice in - in an Astra Mk3 Turbo - worked fine.
Cheers

Mine does (1.4) - bolt on ones. One on exhaust stud of number 4, the other somewhere near inlet number 1. I do suspect there is meant to be another
one near the ECU/inlet 4 but not sure.

Pre V8/6 jag engines had eyes that bolt in place of the exhaust manifold but we just put plenty of strong rope roundump and bellhousing.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?
