Down and out!
Hi guys,
Finally thought I would post some pics as I got my car down from the stands and outside for the first time yesterday. It was a great feeling and
morale boost as I sometimes wonder If i've bitten of more than I can chew with the money pit, life absorbing build.
Anyway, the spec is:
R1 engine/clocks/cooling/carbon can.
3.38 Diff.
Pathfinder paddle shift fitted to sierra column.
Pro race 1 wheels.
Westfield self cancel indicators.
Protech shocks.
Savage switches.
Black and Luminous red bodywork.
Wilwood calipers and drilled/grooved disks.
All the electrics, engine and cooling work perfect, just the rear lights to plug in. Ran out of money now  .
One question, when the R1 can is fitted there is no room for a cat for SVA. If I were to borrow a cat/exhaust the bracket would need to be in a
different position. i don't really want lots of holes in the chassis from where brackets once were, what have other people done to get round
this?

Its looking good.
We all go through these phases where we think we cant do it, or shouldnt have started.
Soldier one mate!
The First time you drive it on the road, you will KNOW it was all worth while.
You wont drive another car that is so much fun for the same amount of money.
So carry on, get it finished, then enjoy it.
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

Great looking car! Well done!
Get on with it! You are not too far from driving it!
One question. How does the self canceling indicator work? And is it a standard Westfield item? I plan to use paddles, too, so looking at options.

The self cancelling indicators are very easy to fit to a loom, it is an electronic box with wires going to the switch on one side and on the other you
have three wires, one is an input from the flasher relay and the others are outputs to the lamps. I ordered it from the Westfield website.
Although i thought it was knackered when testing the loom with a battery charger, it need full battery amps to work.

hi there that look cool like the dash and interior where did you grt the carbon fibre tunnel cover from?
and do you know if r1 clock would work with an car engine ?

Looks great
You couldn't pwn your way out of a wet paper bag, with "PWN ME!!" written on it, from the "pwned take-away" which originally contained one
portion of chicken tikka pwnsala and the obligatory free pwnpadom.

Hi, got the carbon look plastic from ESP Plastics. Very easy to shape, just score and fold for a sharp edge finish.

Looks really good. Keep it up as you will have a cool car in the end. Ive had my build for 8 months and understand you frustrations.
PS dont want to swap your diff for a 3.62 LSD do you????

Snap-on, Is that the standard dashboard from MK or something different. It looks perfect especially against the red scuttle.
