1600 Pinto

Read in MK's advertising leaflet that a 1600 SOHC Pinto can be fitted without "having a bonnet bulge or a hole in the bonnet for air filter". Is the 1600 Pinto block shorter than a 2.0 litre block.
Any advice welcolm.

AFAIK the 1600 is about an inch shorter than the 2l.

that said, there is no way i would have been able to get mine under the bonnet without a hole.

(do people have to shorten the oil filler on the 2l? i've had to do a slight mod to the read edge of the nose cone to make it fit)

i hear talk of lowering the engine, but then clearance on the sump becomes an issue.

i've fitted the dome version of the if the ITG filter used in the which kit build. i think it looks a little smoother
