Gearbox is 39kg.

Not sure of the engine but would guess around the 130kg mark. Are you looking for the weight to include the flywheel / clutch and ancillaries (starter, alternator) etc??

From another thread:

"Box is 86lb/39kg. Engine is around 265lb/120kg the exact figure escapes me at present"

I suppose the Rs2000 engine is considered a 2l Pinto right?
So should be 130kg only?
Does that include flywheel, clutch and ancillaries (starter, alternator)?

Regards
Alex

I cant remember the site details but a westie site (where the fancy colour changer is) quotes pinto as 135Kg. Type 9 is 40Kg. blimey - 175Kg all in. So changing to BEC is quite a saving then (isnt a BEC approx 80Kg with box?)

Skyline What power is the engine you have? Its tuned isnt it?

Go for it. The Essie can wait (or take the pinto with grace - my god a Mk1 essie RS and a MK super power CEC).

Darren sorry but the skyline engine is to long to fit the Mk so it is still going in the escort
