I think that splitting the MK group off from this one is a really bad move, both for this group as a whole, and for MK in particular.
At present, we get a lot of people who come here wanting to build a 7-alike, but don't know what to buy. They usually get the feel of
what's good and bad by reading the posts and listening to recommendations (usually, MK or Luego).
Now the MK stuff has gone to a semi-closed group that displays nothing unless you're a member. If I was a newbie I'd follow the link,
realise that I had to register, and end up saying "stuff it". (that's what I did ).
Very sad.

Does this just refer to the forum on the MK Owners club site, because of so as far as I can see there are no messages on there yet - I haven't
registered so far though so may be missing something.

lets not throw are dummies out of are
prams kids just because the mk owners
club has a forum it's about helping people
and not bitching about stuff that dosn't
matter i dont think it will take anything
away from this most excellent forum it's
just another forum after all
and it is a free country until you knock a
coppers hat off and poke him in the eye
so there

i think most people who come here will still check here, and people who are interested in MKs will go there as well. People who buy kits will maybe
get pointed to the new forum, i suppose its nice to have a specific owners club.
i would suggest each site mention the other, then everyone can come to both forums if they want. Both sites have obvious advantages, namely being
specific and being non-specific respectively!

IMHO - I don't normally sign up to anything on the web (current forum accepted).
Using unique ID's potentially alienates the very people to whom the website is targetting, kind of defeats the object in the first place.
The more knowledge there is in the ether, the better we all are surely, whether it is on one forum or another. The more complex the process the lower
the market. If you don't like it - don't use it. The customer decides!

Hi All
The MK Forum was put up primarily for MK club members but anyone is welcome. It was never our intention to alienate anyone or detract people from
using this board.
This board is fantastic and i see us all as one big happy family and i thank ChrisW for doing such a top job and making all our lives a little easier
and more fun.
I just wanted to put my side in seeing as it was me who set up the forum. The last thing i want is to get into a childish argument with people. That
would ruin a great hobby and to be honest would not be worth continuing. The freindships i have made is half the fun and i would hate to have that
ruined.
SO..lets just all get on with it and enjoy what we do.
Thanks
Andy

Seeing as you are back in the garage, does this mean you will be finnished before me?????
I have put my new fuel tank in and so far (touch wood) it has not leaked! I have also bolted the seats in and thecar is back on the floor.
I think everyone should take bets on who finishes 1st!!
See you Sunday

As you said to me earlier mate, I think it was when you rested the new tank on the wiring that might have caused it to fail.
I'll bring me meter nxt time, and see what we can find

He's trying to electrify a fuel tank?
Remind me not to stand too near his car with a full tank on board....

Connection
Red to filler... black to sump/outlet if aluminium tank. If not just put jump leads down filler... this should have the desired effect.
WARNING - THIS WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED IN 4 DAYS TIME!!!
