Brake master cylinder clearance problems

Hi, i'm building an R spec chassis Indy.
I've come to fit the master cylinder from the donor seirra, but the bottom fluid outlet only has about 16mm of clearance from one of the chassis bars. Have I mounted it wrong or what are my options.
I've been to my local motorfactors and they have told me that they have no right angle connectors that tight.
Sorry about the pants photo. Rescued attachment Image014.jpg

Hi there. I had the same problem with mine. You just have to tlit the BMC so that the copper break pipe at the bottom just clears the chassis rail. Make an S shape with the pipe and P clip it to the rail.

Where are you based?

Common as muck these spec R zx10's,you can either as Paul says just by slightly tilting the master cylinder you can fit the pipe,or could always fit a wilwood master cylinder like Ive fitted to mine.

It is a different chassis Stuart, the bottom chassis rail is in a different position on the spec R.

I used a mk2/mk3 Golf cylinder. Only problem with that was that it protudes too far through the bulkhead, so I had to make up a spacer for it to sit on. Probably would have been easier to get a sierra one to fit, but I had a new golf one kicking about...

you could always fit a bleed nipple to the bottom outlet to blank it off, and then run a single line from the top outlet to a three way connector and from there to the two front wheels

Does that chassis tube *HAVE* to go exactly underneath the master?

Shouldn't MK be told about this and move the tube to pone side?

Thanks for your input:

paulmw: I'm in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

PAUL FISHER:I thought about a nice shiny new willwood master but since I had the old seirra one and I had my sensible hat on i've stuck with the sierra. Looks like i'll have to tilt it slightly.

Thanks all.

stevepj: Just in reply to your suggestion, does anyone know if that would be OK for the SVA?

I've had a look at twisting the BMC but it looks at a hell of an angle! Looks nothing like paulmw's picture. His looks almost level.

Thanks.

shouldn't be any problem, by blocking off one hole you make the M/C into a two outlet one same as westfield/caterham use,
you still have split system front and rear so will have braking if one half of the M/C fails
