Looks like you started off on the edinburgh to moffat road just after Leadburn (think I'm right with that). Not sure where you ended up but a
run fro there into Moffat would be one of my ideal roads for a blat in any car.
If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Spot on, past Moffat, then onto the M74 to Gretna and then off in to the sticks near Brampton.
I though that road would be good, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought, though I did get caught in a down pour of rain so the roads were
wet and a lot of standing water.
Came back up the A7 from Longtown, what a great road!
Cheers

There are some amazing roads up that way!
Have a look for "La Carrera Caledonia" we've done that for the last 3 years.. a "road touring assembly" or something
they've got to call if for insurance reasons.
Here's a bit of a link to it on the Club triumph website:
http://club.triumph.org.uk/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?m-1175516845/
All sorts of cars turn up for it and its a cracking weekend on some some amazing roads and unbelievable scenery.
In the past few years all sorts has been on it:
Autobianchi, Lancia Fulvia, Jaguar E-type, Austin Healy 3000, Renault Dauphine, Lancia Beta, Lancia Delta Intergrale EVO, Bentley Continental TurboR,
Jaguar XKR, Tiger Super6, MkIndy(me) Opel Corsa XE (me) Mx5, MGF, TVR Cerbera, Porche 911 and loads of Triumphs, MG's etc a really good mix or
cars.

It never fails to impress me how smooth your roads are; and what a beautiful country you have.
