Is it possible to use a standard R1 alternator and battery for an indy? i could see some weight advantages if you can...

If you are using an R1 engine what else would you do? You could use a bigger battery but the generator and regulator is the only way to go
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

It's not really worth using a bigger battery. After all the battery is only used to start the engine. From then on it's the alternator
that does the work...... Why use a huge battery that could spin over a fecking huge diesel when you've only got to spin over a tiny bike
engine???
