I wouldn't rely on a rough measurement from others as all Indy's would vary.
Better to set your camber negative using a level car and a plumb line your rears want to look like this from the rear or front:
/ \
(exaggerated) actual measurement 1-2 degrees.

that assumes everyone's wishbones and mountings are the same. also that the length of threaded bar's the same.
i'd get a spirit level and use that to set up camber. tape 2 m6 bolts to the spirit level so it touches the rims not the tyres and clears the
arch.
if you want negative camber, do a bit of trig and shim the top point where the spirit level touches the wheel to give the desired angle when the
spirit level's vertical.
even if you set it up vertical, it'll be less wrong than the method you're attempting. tom

Set it up properly when it's on the road Matt, get it something like, fair enough, but worry about it later!
It's quite simple to set the MK up (in that respect) when it's on the road...

Assuming you have the car on 4 wheels and also have a reasonably level floor you can set it up.
Make up 4 wooden blocks the same thickness as your intended under chassis ground clearance front and rear. You will also need a digital spirit level
these are surprisingly cheap from tools stores. ( or you can use an ordinary spirit level and some bits of hardboard for shims and do some
"O" gradel trig).
Jack the car up and remove all 4 coil spring damper units and refit the wheels.
Lower the car on to the blocks.
Lay the spirit level across the top of the chassis at the rear bulkhead and zero the digital spirit level.
With the digital spirit level vertical measure the angle measure the camber of each wheel --- try initially setting to 1 degree negative (in at the
top) all round.
