Seen at DoT Testing station

I wanted to ask questions re SVA so I though what better place than the testing station in Exeter.
Being tested was a very nice Ultima and .........a red Tiger Avon.
On questioning the owner it transpires this is the one featured in Which Kit. (I havnt seen this myself)
Didnt look too bad. Didnt like the blue stone guards.
When asked how the body went on he said with a smile..." Bit tight!"
The GRP was very dull. Mine is the same basic colour although is of darker shade and much more glossy. The dash was simple but nicely put together.
He is now building a MK Blade.
We were both in agreement about what a bloody nice chap Martin of MK is. Martin altered my prop for F all money after I cocked a measurement up.
Going to buy my exhaust off him.

The overall shape of the Tiger is still nice though, allbeit bigger on one side than the other.

After seeing the aforementioned Avon in both the mags, I thought it was exempt from the SVA test, because in ALL the road shots, there are NO number plates, tax disc etc. and it's up and down the highways. Think I'll take my rolling chassis out tomorrow, for a blast over the top road!

There's not a lot of Police cover where the Which Kit Avon and Indy were built........which might explain the road shots.

If you look at the photo's of the mk in which kit the finished car Dr w seems to be driving on the road but speedo reading zero, rpm is zero and fuel gauge is empty

One of the mags does state they were stuck in traffic at one point. Good example or what for us tax paying citizens?
